pinggg asked:

I am not pessimistic. I feel scared after nagis hit Burma because there is no signal or any cautions from the government as well as shortly after that the earthquake in China happened. The people in Bangkok high building can feel the shaking. These disasters are the result of climate change or not? and Where might be the next one?

  1. Another large aftershock that ruptures the new China Dam killing millions.

It is unlikely but could happen.

  2. The earthquake in China was terrible and my heart really goes out to those affected families.

The problem isn’t that there are more natural disasters. There have always been natural disasters. We hear about them more and more now because the world is being over-populated by humans. 40 years ago our population was half what it is now. But the more humans populate the more they spread out around the globe and the more they are effected by nature’s wrath. So expect to keep hearing about things like this because the human population is just going to keep going up until a mass extinction event happens.

  3. I don’t know, but I expect more earthquakes and cyclones. You know, I’m half-thinking that all these natural disasters which have happened so frequently (unusually frequent, I must say) over the past few years - might be due to the 2004 tsunami. I think these are after-effects/after-shocks of that, because why else would so many disasters be happening particularly in the Asia-Pacific region? Pakistan (if I remember correctly), Myanmar (Burma), China, etc. I’m not pessimistic too, but I think that my train of thoughts may be correct in some way.
