China
kira asked:

In reality other than the Communist party of China, there are 8 other political parties in the National Congress.
According to Chinese Consititution, The President and Premier of the state are elected by members of the National Congress. Citizens also have the right to vote in local elections, who then vote for the representatives of the National Congress, and thoes members vote the head of state.
So why is China considered as a single party state?

  1. Because they are all shades of the Communist Party. The illusion of choice when at a fundamental level they are all founded on Communist principles.

  2. china is a one party system.

the other 8 political parties are nothing more but illusions of differing views, but they all serve as a function of the communist party itself.

    china is a totalitarian regime.
